- Stomach cramps, vomiting, fever and headaches reported
- Thomson reps blame ‘change in weather, over indulgence or alcohol’
- Illnesses left untreated can cause long term complications such as IBS
It would appear that problems are continuing at the Coral Sea Aqua Club Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh. We are receiving continuing reports of holidaymakers being struck down with sickness to include stomach cramps, vomiting, fever, headaches and lethargy.
The hotel is offered for sale in the UK by Thomson Holidays part of the TUI UK Limited Group of companies. Thomson Holidays advertise the hotel as being a four star plus family hotel with an on-site waterpark.
Thomson failing holidaymakers
However, Thomson is failing to notify their customers of the reported issues with the waterpark and the illness which is spreading amongst guests at the hotel.
We have been advised that Thomson Representatives appear uninterested when guests report illness and are simply advising holidaymakers that the illness is down to the change in weather, over indulgence or alcohol. This is a dangerous approach for the representatives to take, as it means that holidaymakers are not seeking the correct medical advice and are simply putting their illness down to the reasons outlined by the representative.
In reality, symptoms of this nature are usually bacterial in nature and if left untreated can cause long term complications and result in post infectious irritable bowel syndrome.
